Moonbow Dempsey – Christmas Set Dinner & unique Opeh Leaf festive treats for takeaway

Deck the halls with feasting and festivities! On 24 and 25 December, treat yourselves to a ravishing Christmas Set Dinner Menu at Moonbow

Choose from two seatings available (6pm and 8.15pm), and indulge in a 4-course ($118++) or 5-course ($138++) experience that merges modern European cuisine with Asian influences. 

Dinner opens with a stunning starter comprising Oocytes Beef Bone Marrow and Turkey Roll. The baked herb bone marrow is rich and decadent, with intense umami flavours that are best enjoyed with Moonbow’s homemade sourdough. While the roasted turkey roll packs some notable herby notes with the tender meat.

Warm up with some Cream of Parsnip, whose gorgeous plating will no doubt wow you. Served with crispy parma ham and basil pearl, this soup is a spot of comfort amidst the indulgent spread. 

The main course is a choice of poultry or fish, though 5-course diners can enjoy both. The Christmas Roasted Quail is a beautifully plated dish with oven-roasted honey-glazed quail imported from France, served with pine nut, crispy kale, and potato gratin, along with pepper cranberry glace and port wine sauce. If ever there was a dish that captures the spirit of festive dining with a touch of indulgence, this would be it. The succulent quail pairs well with the kale, with added richness coming from the potato gratin. 

The next contender for the most beautiful dish of the evening is the Earl Grey Smoke King Salmon. Tuck into fork-tender salmon with a hearty serving of arborio truffle rice and forest mushroom, topped with fresh ikura roe. 

Save some room for the Chestnut Mont Blanc, a delicately-flavoured dessert which is best enjoyed with the refreshing pear sorbet and Eton Mess.

Meat lovers will appreciate the Pork Belly Fricasse ($68) and Turkey Roulade ($68), while the Truffle Risotto ($48) will no doubt make a substantial addition to festive gatherings. Don’t forget the Pineapple Cranberry Butter Tarts ($16 for 180g), with their colourful shells and deceptive macaron-like appearance!
